Bloopz is a small, independent app for families. We collect as little as possible, we never sell your data, and you can delete everything from inside the app at any time.
1. Who this applies to
Bloopz is designed for a parent or guardian to set up and manage. Parents create the account. Children do not create accounts and do not sign in with personal details — a child's device joins a family by scanning a one-time code the parent shows, using an anonymous device session.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Parent account: your email address, used to sign you in and to send co-parent invitations. (Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.)
- Family content you create: a family name, and for each child a first name or nickname, an emoji/avatar, and the tasks, rewards, points, and history you record. You choose what to enter — we recommend using first names or nicknames only, not full names.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data needed to run the app (for example, a device push-notification token if you enable notifications, and standard diagnostic/crash information).
We do not use advertising identifiers, we do not run third-party ad networks, and we do not build advertising or behavioral profiles.
3. How we use information
- To provide the core service — creating your family, tracking points, and keeping everything in sync across the devices in your family.
- To authenticate you and let you invite a co-parent (invites are surfaced inside the app to the invited email address).
- To send account emails you trigger, such as email verification.
- To keep the service secure and to fix bugs.
4. Children's privacy
Bloopz is a family utility that a parent controls. Children do not have accounts and do not provide information to us directly. The only child-related information in Bloopz is the minimal content a parent enters (such as a first name or nickname, an emoji, and points). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without a parent's involvement, contact us at hello@bloopzapp.com and we'll delete it.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the app:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Hosting, and Cloud Messaging) stores your data and powers sign-in, sync, and notifications, on Google Cloud infrastructure.
- Apple, as the App Store and mobile platform provider.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law.
6. Where data is stored & security
Your data is stored with Google Firebase and processed primarily in the United States. Information is encrypted in transit, and access is restricted by security rules so that only members of your family can read your family's data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You are in control:
- Open Settings → Account & data in the app to permanently delete a family, or your entire account. Deleting your account removes every family you own, all children and their history, and every connected device. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
- You can also email hello@bloopzapp.com and we'll help.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise access, correction, and deletion directly in the app, or contact us and we'll respond.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Continued use of Bloopz after a change means you accept the updated policy.
10. Contact us
Bloopz is operated by StackReliant. For any privacy question or request, email hello@bloopzapp.com.
